P. Fusty

1 album/28 artworks – P. Fusty was a spanking artist who illustrated Le Tour d’Europe d’un Flagellant by Lord Birchisgood (1909). In the BNF library’s entry for this book, the illustrator’s name is misspelled P. Tiusty. This is definitely an error. P. Fusty is the correct name – a pseudonym, it seems; the French word “fustigation” means flagellation. Still, the misspelling P. Tiusty has been copied many times and is often encountered today.
