Suzanne Ballivet
2 albums/25 artworks – Suzanne Ballivet (1904 – 1985) was born in Paris, only daughter of Jules and Laurentine Ballivet. Her father was a photographer in Montpellier, in the south of France. She did her secondary studies in Montpellier and was a student at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montpellier. In 1925 she married Camille Descossy and in 1927 she moved to Paris where she did Fashion Design and where she exhibited at the International Colonial Exhibition. In 1931, she returned to Montpellier where she made theatrical sets and costumes in Jean Catel’s troupe as well as anatomy drawings. After her divorce in 1941, she went back to Paris with Albert Dubout and exhibited her drawings at Humor 41.…
