From 1921 to 1925, he studied at Paris’s School of Decorative Arts under Pierre Seguin, picking up awards for his drawings and watercolors. His early work captured the glamour of Paris in the 1920s—fashion, parties, the whole scene. Later, he moved near Versailles, painting villages and grand estates.
