Leonor Fini (1907–1996) was an Argentine-Italian surrealist artist celebrated for her portrayals of powerful women. After overcoming an eye disease, she pursued art in Milan and later Paris, where she mingled with influential figures and designed for fashion and theater. Fini is also known for her illustrations, notably for a 1944 edition of “Juliette.”
