László Boris
4 albums/23 artworks – László Boris (1897–1924) was a Hungarian graphic artist, illustrator, caricaturist, and etcher whose brief career left a distinctive mark on early 20th-century erotic and satirical art. Born in Budapest in 1897, Boris studied art in his hometown before spending time in Paris. During World War I he produced military maps for the newspaper Pesti Hírlap. After the war he created satirical and socially critical drawings, including work during the short-lived Hungarian Soviet Republic (for which he was briefly imprisoned). He emigrated westward, living and working in Vienna, Munich, Berlin, Paris, and London.
