- 1908 edition: Illustrated by M. del Giglio. These early plates are known for their elegant and relatively restrained line work.
- 1930 edition: Republished with illustrations by Gaston Smit (Georges Topfer). Smit’s artwork is bolder, with stronger contrast and more dynamic punishment scenes.
- 1927 edition (Artistic Library, under the pseudonym J. Saint-Vallier): Illustrated by Charles Hirlemann. His style is distinct and somewhat more graphic compared to the other two artists. - not presented in the collection
