3 albums/21 artworks – Ernst Gerhard ((1867–1948) was a German sculptor, landscape painter and etcher, born in 1867 in Landau (Palatinate) and active mainly in Munich. After sculpture training with Christoph Roth (1886–89), he studied at the Munich Academy (1889–93) and the Académie Julian in Paris (1893–99). He exhibited with the Münchner Sezession, at the Glaspalast, and at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition (including the 1909 painting Aus stürmischer Zeit), and was a member of the Luitpoldgruppe and other artists’ associations. He lived briefly in Berlin (1917–21) before settling in Munich-Pasing, where he died in 1948.
